Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Members of the Czech Society of Cardiology, Distinguished Guests,
We would like to invite you to the 34th Annual Congress of the Czech Society of Cardiology with international participation, which will take place in its virtual format from May 4 to 7, and in its traditional in-person format from May 9 to 12, 2026, once again at the Brno Exhibition Centre.
The scientific program of the congress will traditionally consist of sessions prepared by the associations and working groups of our Society. Although the flagship event for presenting the results of Czech cardiovascular research remains the November meeting Czech Cardiovascular Research and Innovation Days in Prague, we have by no means abandoned scientific communications at the congress. On the contrary—this year we received significantly more abstracts than in previous years, and their quality was excellent. Free communications will therefore form a substantial part of the program, presented in dedicated sessions, in the form of traditional posters, as well as rapid case report presentations within the poster exhibition area.
As every year, you can also look forward to sessions prepared by partner professional societies involved in the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
We would also like to invite you to sessions specifically designed for young cardiologists in specialist training.
The program will also include sections devoted to the future vision of Czech cardiology within the framework of implementing the newly approved National Cardiovascular Plan. The congress aims to emphasize that it is up to all of us to begin putting its vision into practice as soon as possible.
Naturally, it is not possible to physically attend all interesting presentations and sessions during the congress. Therefore, as in previous years, we will provide access to presentations—subject to the authors’ consent—which you will find on the website of the Czech Society of Cardiology in the Kardio365 section. We are also preparing extended media coverage of the entire congress and would appreciate your feedback on how you perceive this initiative.
We would like to thank everyone who is actively involved in organizing the congress. We firmly believe that the program will capture your interest and we look forward to meeting you in Brno.
